Valentine's Day

Wow! We had a fantastic Valentine's Day. The kids' excitement began first thing this morning as the boxes, candy, and cards flooded in! We spent the morning taking turns delivering our cards.

We spent the rest of the morning and afternoon working hard to finish all the things we HAD to do -- like Reading, Math, and all those other fun subjects! Luckily we were able to finish almost everything so we could enjoy some Valentine's Day Fun!

We had our own Minute to Win It challenges! We had a BLAST!! 2 of the first challenges were Candy Heart Stacking and Candy Heart Chopsticks. For Candy Heart Stacking, you had to try to stack as many hearts as you could within the minute. If the tower fell, you had to start again. For Candy Heart Chopsticks, the kids used the pencils as chopsticks. They tried to pick up and move as many candy hearts as possible from the plate.

You are probably wondering why those hearts are on so many of these cute faces! We had a medical emergency today... apparently there is a disease going around called Love Pox. It's spread by giving hugs! After each hug you give someone, a heart magically appears on their face!!

Next challenge... Cookie Drop! This one I'm sure you've seen on the show before. Oreos start on the forehead. The challenge is to get the Oreo to drop into your mouth without using your hands. It was hilarious watching them. Some claimed they couldn't do it because cookie crumbs got in their eyes...

Finally, we got to enjoy some delicious cupcakes from Mrs. Fisher. Afterwards, the kids had a chance to look through all their cards and candy! I would say it was a pretty successful day!
