Downtown Greenville

What a wonderful day for a field trip downtown! First stop... The Greenville Drive Stadium. We had a chance to go behind the scenes and learn a little more about the stadium. Our tour guide, Sam, did a fantastic job explaining and answering our questions. After that, we had a chance to explore the many attractions on Main Street, including the Mice on Main Scavenger Hunt and the Liberty Bridge.

Hangin' out in the dugout...

In front of the Green Monster (the manual scoreboard)...

Julien begged me to take this picture.. he's such a nut! :) He claims this is him "holding up the scoreboard."

My sweet class! Of course, getting us organized for this picture took a bit of work.

Love this! Mrs. Anders and I got in on the action too!

We were able to go in the press box. I think the kids were more fascinated with the dog, Maggie, on the field. They kept looking to see what she was up to!

Sam took us into the entertainment box where they have the computers for the music. He let the kids choose a few songs to play. Justin Bieber was the first choice and as soon as the song began playing, Maggie ran off the field. They BEGGED him to play "Party Rock Anthem" just so they could dance! HILARIOUS!!

MANY thank yous to ALL our amazing chaperones and to Mrs. Anders. Mrs. Anders planned and organized this whole trip and without her, we would have been lost!! We love you Mrs. Anders! Thanks for planning such a fun and educational trip!!

Library Field Trip

As soon as we got back from a relaxing Spring Break, we had a field trip! We had a chance to visit the library and learn about the service it provides. Many of the children got their very first library card! They were so excited!!

March Birthday

Miss Bailey D. was our only March birthday! We hope she had a wonderful birthday month!

The Day Before Spring Break

The day before Spring Break began, we did some fun, Spring-ish/Easter-ish activities! We had a great day!

We talked about balancing equations in Math.

For example, 3+3 = 2x6

SO, we practiced by having an Easter Egg Hunt! The kids found an egg with an equation in it and had to find a partner that had an equal equation!

We filled Easter eggs with Bunny Bait!

We made cute, bunny baskets!

Angus and his mom made these adorable carrot treats!

AND yummy Rice Krispy nests!

Of course we all needed some bunny tails (marshmallows).
