We talked about how there are so many people in our school that do so much for us.. and do NOT ever get the appreciation they deserve! We made a list of the custodians, lunch room ladies, office workers, and various other teachers and volunteers in our school. The kids then had a chance to make cards and write letters to workers of their choice. They worked very hard on showing their gratitude for these people. We are so thankful they help us here at Concrete!
Harry made his card for Mrs. Edwards in the front office.
Reagan made her card for Mrs. Newton, the cafeteria manager. Her letter says:
Dear Mrs. Newton,
I love how you run the cafeteria. Thank you so much for the yummy foods!
Aidan made his card for Mrs. Brooks who does fun reading and writing activities!
Lauren chose to make a card for Mr. Medlin, one of the wonderful custodians that works so hard to keep our school looking beautiful.
Angus chose to make one for Mrs. Newton. I love that he made it look like an ice cream cone!
Luke worked hard on his pop-out card for Mrs. Edwards.
Alex made this wonderful card for Mrs. Whitner, the speech teacher.
Mary Sullivan made her card for Ms. Wendy. Her card says:
Dear Ms. Wendy,
Thank you for letting me play with your iPad.
PS : I hope your the best writing teacher ever.
** She also drew a picture of Ms. Wendy wearing red glasses because she thinks Ms. Wendy would look "cute" in red glasses.
Johanna with her card for Mrs. Hughes.
Baylee chose to make a card for Mr. Dirton, another one of our fabulous custodians. She wrote a poem for him that says:
Trash cans are gray.
Dirt is brown.
Desserts are super sweet and so are you.
