A North Pole Visitor

Today was an exciting day back from Thanksgiving Break! We had just returned from the library when Mrs. Padgett brought down a special delivery ... a red basket FILLED with goodies from the North Pole. She said it just magically appeared in the office! Sitting right in the middle of that basket was (drum roll please....) our Elf! In a handwritten letter, he explained that Santa sent him to help out. Each day he will watch over all of us. During the night, he will fly back to the North Pole to inform Santa who has been naughty or nice. When he comes back the next morning, he will always be in a new spot! I also hear that he likes to cause some mischief sometimes.

In the basket, we had a real North Pole breakfast -- snow covered doughnuts, Santa Kisses, and tiny reindeer kisses. The kids LOVED snacking while we read The Elf on the Shelf.

The magic wouldn't start until we gave him a name. We had several wonderful choices, but we voted on Buddy. Soon after we went to lunch. Well, what do ya know...? As soon as we got back from lunch, he had MOVED. We found him in the back of the room so he could keep his eye out on everyone!

I can't wait to see where Buddy is tomorrow. I have a feeling we're in some fun adventures!!
